I was able to intern for two different internships during my time at Lasell. One was for Lasell University, working directly with their Department of Revenue Enhancement. I created a flyer and postcard for a fashion and graphic design camp held over the summer. I created work for print that promoted this camp while also staying within branding guidelines and including information that was provided.
The second was an internship with United Aero Group, an aerospace company. I created a commemorative coin for their trade shows, as well as concepts for items for print such as business cards, paper headers/footers, email signatures, and envelopes.
My process for creating the commemorative coin design included a lot of notes; Page 1: Breaking down each piece of the coin (UAG, 10+ years, Blackhawk) as well as writing out things that immediately came to thought. Page 2: Mood board and references, images of the Blackhawk, other coin examples from the industry, and type studies. Page 3: The coin design mockup as well as individual components below it. I also included the specific shade of green that was being used. I sent this third page to a coin vendor and worked directly with them to have the coin produced.
The top two are mockups of the business card design and the paper design.
The bottom two are the email signature template, as well as the envelope design.
I also designed a template for the business cards including the typeface and point sizes that were used for reference.
